FARO/CAM2 & Gexcel present the Italian
event “New equipments and technologies for open pit mines surveys” in order to
show benefits and utility coming from the integration between laser scanner and
GPS/Total station data. 
Surveyors, quarryman, technicians and professionals
will describe practical experiences in which the laser scanner has simplified
and reduced timing and costs of survey activities in mining in quarry environment.
Moreover, will be shown the new FARO Long range Laser
Scanner Focus3D X 330 and the new user friendly JRC 3D
Reconstructor Mining software (developed by Gexcel) dedicated to the mining
laser scanner data processing.
JRC 3D Reconstructor Mining software is a surveyors
dedicated solution to manage laser and UAV topographic data of mining sites,
tunnels and areas with geological and geotechnical problems. 3D points surveyed
by GNSS or total station can be easily combined with LiDAR data, working in the
same large format East, North cartographic coordinates systems (i.e. UTM
WGS84).
Mining and cave surveys data process is supported by the extraction of contour lines, crest&toe (mines break lines), DTM generation, volumes and cut&fill evaluation with printable PDF reports, cross sections, coloured elevation maps. GeoTiff UAV data images can be easily managed to create high resolution orthophotos and textured DTM. All the processes are guided thanks to step by step wizards and all the extract results are CAD compatible.

CAM2 e Gexcel presentano “Nuovi strumenti e tecnologie per il rilevamento in cave a cielo aperto” per illustrare i benefici e l’utilità dell’integrazione del rilievo laser scanner con dati GPS e da stazione totale. Topografi, cavatori, tecnici e operatori del settore descriveranno esperienze pratiche in cui l’impiego del laser scanner ha semplificato e ridotto i tempi e i costi delle attività di rilevamento in ambiente di cava.
Nel corso dell’evento saranno mostrati il nuovo CAM2 Laser Scanner Focus3D X 330 a lunga portata e l’innovativo e intuitivo software JRC 3D Reconstructor Mining di Gexcel per l’elaborazione dati rilevati con laser scanner.
Il software JRC 3D Reconstructor Mining è una soluzione rivolta ai topografi/rilevatori per gestire dati topografici UAV e dati laser di cave, tunnel e aree soggette a problemi geologici e geotecnici. I punti 3D rilevati con stazione GNSS o stazione totale possono essere facilmente integrati con dati LiDAR, lavorando nello stesso formato (es. UTM WGS84). Il processamento di questi dati è supportato dall'estrazione di profili, creste&valli (linee di rottura della cava), DTM, volumi e calcolo di sterro&riporto con report PDF stampabile, sezioni, mappe colorate di elevazione. Immagini di dati GeoTiff UAV possono essere facilmente gestite per creare ortofoto ad alta risoluzione e DTM testurizzati. Tutti i processi sono guidati passo passo grazie a speciali wizards e tutti i risultati ottenuti sono compatibili con l'ambiente CAD.
